O Little (People) Town of Bethlehem

Today Colton and I set up his own Little People Nativity set! It is so cute and I love that he can play with it, unlike Mommy's expensive nativity scene. :o) He loved playing with the animals and the angel most of all. He also loved that, when you press the angel down, it plays 'O Little Town of Bethlehem.' I'm so excited to use this toy to teach Colton about the meaning of Christmas.

In other news, we bought Colton a "big boy car seat" today! Though if we were living in the U.S. (or owned a car) we would have done this months ago, it still feels unbelievable that he's already so big! It was definitely time, though, as his feet stuck out a good 5 or 6 inches over the end of his infant car seat.
We got this seat for him in preparation for a trip we're taking with friends to Germany! We leave on Saturday and drive through Switzerland to Kandern, Germany (in the southwest of Germany). We are staying with some Campus Crusade staff there so housing is free! Yay! One of the families there is planning day trips for us to French/German Christmas markets and maybe even a day trip to another city in Germany, like Freiburg. We are very excited for this trip as it will give us a chance to spend quality time with some of the other couples we work with in Florence and because we've heard that Kandern is a very picturesque city this time of year. What fun! Pictures to come after our trip!

Love the Nativity. Gigi bought one for her house for when children visit. I can't believe he's big enough for that huge looking car seat, but I know he is! Have a great time in Germany!
